Trainers, Rivals Week has begun and you now have the chance to participate and complete the new Timed and Field Research tasks introduced in Pokémon GO.
Rivals Week is a limited-time event, scheduled to run from May 4 to May 9, 2024. This event offers interesting bonuses, which will bring you 10x XP from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms, 2x Catch Candy, and an increased chance to encounter Shiny Zangoose, Seviper, Throh, Sawk, Heatmor, and Durant. Also, different Pokémon and their shiny forms will appear in the wild and Raids, but we’re here to see and learn a bit more about the new Timed and Field Research tasks and rewards.
The Rivals Week Timed and Field Research tasks are free of charge, and you must complete all tasks to earn useful rewards such as Revives, Fast, TMs, XP, Rare Candy, and encounters the following Pokémon:
- Poliwag
- Mankey
- Machop
- Gligar
- Sandshrew
- Throh
- Sawk

- Catch 15 Fighting-type Pokémon: Mankey
- Power up 15 Fighting-type Pokémon: Machop
- Earn 10,000 Stardust: Gligar
- Earn 20,000 XP: Sandshrew
- Win 3 Raids: Throh
- Battle in the GO Battle League 5 times: Sawk
- Rewards: 2 Fast TM, 5000 XP, 3 Rare Candy
