Previous Story: Trainers, we have good news for all of us, and that is that all Pokemon Go players will soon have a chance to try the new, so far ‘unofficially confirmed’ feature, Fusion.

As we all already know, Niantic and Pokemon Go teased the debut of Necrozma in the game but did not mention anything about the Fusion option. According to the big dataminers, they are getting ready to release the “fusion-unfuse” button in the game, and the only downside is that we don’t know exactly when, but we guess we will know more before the Go Fest 2024 event. Now, let’s see what the miners found in the GM files.

The Pokemod Group is a group of miners that “takes care” and notifies us of every change in the Game Master (GM) file of Pokemon Go. They are reliable miners, which we follow frequently, and share all findings with you. Now, they discovered new text in the files, hinting at the new fusion feature.

In the main games, Pokemon players use this feature to combine two Pokemon to create a Fusion Pokemon. These Fusion Pokemon have their own unique moves, stats, and their # in the Pokedex. Also, Pokemon players can fuse Pokemon of the same species, for a self-fusion, and this Fusion Pokemon does not change its stats, it remains the same. This is a bit of a complex feature, which we’re looking forward to seeing in Pokemon Go.

The Pokemod Group revealed and shared many interesting details regarding Pokemon Fusion in Pokemon Go, but unfortunately, we do not have a specific release date.

We think we have enough information for now, so let’s learn a little more about this option.

Pokemon Go Fusion Feature (Unofficial Info)

• The Pokemon Go Fusuion feature will most likely be revealed before or during Go Fest 2024
• Necrozma can be fused to Solgaleo or Lunala
• Fusion Pokemon can’t be traded
• In the text, you can also see some Pokemon fusions like Glastrier and Calyrex, Spectrier and Calyrex, Zekrom and Kyurem, Reshiram and Kyurem, Necrozma and Lunala, Necrozma and Solgaleo
• Necrozma is the only Pokemon with two fusions
• Pokemon Go players will need Lunar and Solar Fusion Energy
• Pokemon Go players can separate Fusion Pokemon at no cost

Niantic is happy, they added several placeholder assets related to fusion. They also added some 3D models for 'Raid Boss Unfuse Temp' and also fusion and unfusion cutscenes for Dawn Wings and Dusk Mane
