Trainers, the 8th Anniversary Party event has begun and all Pokemon Go players have a chance to complete the new Timed and Field Research tasks. However, one of the two Timed Research is paid, but it’s worth spending $2 for Incubator, Super Incubator, Lucky Egg, Rocket Radar, and much more.
Niantic and Pokemon Go are celebrating their eighth birthday with a special in-game event that offers a lot of cool stuff. During the event, which begins on June 28, and will last until July 3, 2024, Pokemon Go players will be able to catch new costume Pokemon, and their shiny forms, encounter Shiny Meltan, enjoy the event-exclusive bonuses, battle against different Pokemon in Raids, and complete the new Timed and Field Research. Oh, and let’s not forget about the Whispers in the Woods Masterwork Research.

The 8th Anniversary Party event offers two new Timed Research quests, one for free and the other one paid.
The free Timed Research offers XP, Stardust, encounters with event-themed Pokemon such as Raticate wearing a party hat, Nidorino wearing a party hat, Wobbuffet wearing a party hat, and Meltan as rewards, while the paid one offers much better rewards.
By completing the paid Timed Research, you can get:
- 1 Incubator
- 1 Super Incubator
- 1 Premium Battle Pass
- 1 Lucky Egg
- 1 Rocket Radar
- 1 Star Piece
- 1 Incense
- 1 Poffin
- 88,888 XP
- An encounter with Meltan (can be shiny)
