God of War Ragnarök PC Announced, Coming out in September 2024

Big Papa Kratos is making his way to Steam. Sony dropped a bombshell during their State of Play stream on Thursday, announcing that God of War Ragnarök, the epic sequel to the 2018 reboot of God of War, is coming to PC on September 19.

Kratos’ second adventure was a massive hit back in 2022. Who didn’t love the emotional rollercoaster of him and Atreus walking through the Nine Realms? As for its success, sure, Elden Ring owned the 2022 awards season, snagging Game of the Year almost everywhere, but Ragnarök wasn’t far behind.

The 2022 PC launch of God of War really raised the bar, and we’re hoping Ragnarök can match it. That port was exceptional, delivering smooth performance and stunning visuals. Because it originated on the PS4, it was a perfect fit for the Steam Deck.

The Ragnarök PC announcement promises some sweet PC-exclusive features, including unlocked framerates, Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR support, and ultrawide resolution compatibility. Oh, and don’t worry, the Valhalla DLC is included too.
